Leaders are not simply born.  Church leaders are born again, called by God, gifted by the Holy Spirit, and developed through God’s church.

But the church needs not only leaders, but healthy leaders, and there is a major difference.  So many local churches are guided by members who are not actually leaders at all, but folks filling leadership positions.  Since the church will never rise above the spiritual and emotional health of her leaders, this trend must change. Let me say it once again: to be healthy, the Church cannot depend upon sick leaders!

In developing healthy leaders, Jesus’ primary leadership development approach was to simply “be with them,” them being a few good men.  Yes, He spent time with the masses of people, such as classroom time by the Sea of Galilee, yet His main leadership style was to walk with a few emerging leaders through the seasons of life.  Life was the classroom and the laboratory which provided both the positive and the challenging teachable moments, while the leaders developed were carefully and deliberately chosen and called to a ministry of humble and focused service.

Through Amazing Grace Global Impact Ministry, God is reaching the masses by developing a few healthy leaders.  He is doing so through mentoring, systematic training, and the development of discipleship materials.  And because the world is becoming even more mobile, thus changing the ways that we learn, we offer training through ever-increasing formats such as face-to-face, DVD’s, internet, etc.
